Amanda van de Ven

In the Field: 2005-present
Restoration Ecologist
Butternut Health Assesor

The oldest daughter to Ruurd and Dianne (Owners of Arborvalley), Amanda has worked on and off for the company for many years and is now fully immersing herself in the business. She now is our restoration ecologist, certified MNR butternut assessor, certified arborist and she can also be found in the office working on reports and answering any questions you may have.

Amanda has gained experience volunteering for a variety of restoration projects including the clean up of a small stream for a school in Ajax, restoring a small cedar stand in Oshawa and working to naturalize the river bank at a park in Lindsay. Amanda also had the opportunity to work with three of her peers in the design and implementation of a restoration plan for two small ponds in Haliburton to help increase duck habitat.

Aside from enjoying playing around in ponds and wetlands, Amanda likes to spend time with her family out on the boat, hiking and scuba diving.
